Mariyah walked into the classroom. Ms. Smith made her sit down at a table with two girls and a boy.
“Children, this is Mariyah. It is her first day at school,” said Ms Smith. “Hi, Mariyah, my name is Jenny,” said the little girl on her right. “Hi, my name is Linley,” said the little girl on her left.
“My name is Jason,” shouted the little boy in the front. Mariyah smiled back at the three of them.
Excerpts
